Component Inspection
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Using a GDS, Clear DTC.
- Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
- Disconnect ECU's connector connected to CAN bus.
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
- Are any DTCs present?
YES
- Go to step 1 of the component inspection and disconnect another ECU's connector connected to CAN bus in step 5.
- Repeat above step until test completed on all ECU in CAN bus.
- If DTC is still present after test above, replace it with a new MDPS and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, place the new MDPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Fault can be caused by other ECUs that are excessively occupying CAN BUS line.
NOTE:- In case of MDPS replacement, conduct the steering angle sensor calibration (refer to C126104 ).
