CAN resistance check

  1. Turn "OFF" the ignition switch.
  2. Disconnect the instrument cluster and PCM (ECM) connector.
  3. Measure resistance between CAN LOW terminal and CAN HIGH terminal of the instrument cluster. (Component side).
  4. Measure resistance between CAN LOW terminal and CAN HIGH terminal of the PCM (ECM). (Component side).

    Specification:  Approx. 110~130 Ω

  5. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Replace the faulty module with a new one and see if it properly operates. If the problem is cleared, put the new module in place and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
