Monitor DTC Status
- Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
- Read the "DTC State" parameter.
- Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data. Is the DTC State "Present?"NOTE:
- History (Not Present) state: the DTC set but has been cleared.
- Present state: the DTC is active at present time.
YES
- Go to next procedure.
NO
- Fault can be caused by poor connection or when ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Clear the DTC and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
