Component Inspection

  1. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Using a GDS, and clear the DTC.
  4. Check the Present DTC by GDS.
  5. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • Check for improper installation of SRSCM. If it is not good condition, repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • Replace it with a new SRSCM and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, place the new SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by faulty IMU (SRSCM). Or, IMU (SRSCM) memory was not cleared after repair. go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    NOTE: * In a case of replacing ESP (ESC), perform following functions
    1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C126104 ) -ESP (ESC) only
    2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C128504 ) - ESP (ESC) only
    3. "Variant Coding" for option coding (refer to C170204 )
