Knee airbag (KAB)
The Knee Airbag module located at the lower crash pad driver side protects the driver's knee by reducing the impact of collision.
The KAB consists of an air bag, a pat cover and an inflator.
There are a power, circuit for ignition, a gas generator and a diffuser screen in the inflator.
Airbag reduces impact of collision by filled up gas.
In collision, a pat cover splits and through this crack, an airbag emerges and deploys.
Inflator generates gas that expands air bag.
CAUTION:
Never measure the resistance of the KAB directly, Current of measuring the device may cause unexpected air bag deploy.
