Removal And Installation
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Tightening torque:
4.0 - 6.0 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 3.0 - 4.4 lb-ft)
- Remove the air duct (A).
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
- Disconnect the RCV hose (A).
- Disconnect the breather hose (B).
- Disconnect the intake air hose (C).
- Disconnect the air flow sensor (AFS) connector (D).
- Remove the air cleaner assembly (E).
Tightening torque:
Hose and Clamps: 2.9 - 4.9 N.m (0.3 - 0.5 kgf.m, 2.2 - 3.6 lb-ft)
Air Cleaner Assembly mounting bolts: 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.3 Ib-ft)
NOTE:- When install the intake hose, match the alignment marks (A).
- Remove the battery
- Open the "+" cable cover (A).
- Loosen the "+" cable mounting nut (B).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 9.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.0 kgf.m, 5.8 - 7.2 lb-ft)
- Remove the battery after removing the mounting bracket (C).
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 29.4 N.m (1.9 - 3.0 kgf.m, 13.7 - 30.4 Ib-ft)
- Open the "+" cable cover (A).
- Disconnect the ECM connectors (A).
- Remove the ECM and battery tray (A).
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 29.4 N.m (1.9 - 3.0 kgf.m, 13.7 - 30.4 Ib-ft)
- Disconnect the brake vacuum hose (A).
- Remove the intercooler inlet hose & pipe.
- Remove the main wiring protector (A) from bracket. Disconnect the connector (B) and then remove from the intercooler inlet pipe.
- Remove the intercooler inlet hose & pipe (C).
Tightening torque:
Mounting bolt: 18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
Clamp bolt: 4.9 - 6.9 N.m (0.5 - 0.7 kgf.m, 3.6 - 5.1 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Insert the hose until it reaches the end of stopper.
- Remove the main wiring protector (A) from bracket. Disconnect the connector (B) and then remove from the intercooler inlet pipe.
- Remove the vacuum pump (A).
Tightening torque:
18.6 - 23.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.4 kgf.m, 13.7 - 17.4 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
