Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitor the voltage of EPB actuator circuit (Short)
  1. Faulty EPB Actuator
  2. Short circuit in EPB actuator circuit
  3. Faulty EPB actuator driver system
  4. Defective EPB actuator driver system
  5. Blown fuse
Threshold Value  
  • A failure is detected when the motor power voltage is out of motor reference voltage (VMREF - 3V) for 200 milliseconds. during motor inactivated (All FETs are switched OFF)

    (* VMREF: Reference Voltage, about 4 V)
MIL  
  • EPB/AVH warning lamps are activated

    EBD/ABS/ESC warning lamps are not activated
Reset Condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON
NOTE: * IEBM (Integrated Electric Brake Module: ESP Control Module)
