DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitor the CAN message from MDPS
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Short circuit between CAN bus lines.
  3. Defective wire
  4. Faulty MDPS
  5. MDPS incorrectly occupy the CAN Bus line
  6. Incorrect Controller's version
Threshold Value  
  • When Alive count signal is not increased continuously
  • When received "Checksum" signal is different with calculated "Checksum" for more than specific time
  • When "Invalid" sensor signal received for more than specific time
  • Specific time: In control = 500 milliseconds

    Non control = 1500 milliseconds
MIL
  • No MIL ON
Reset Condition
  • When normal CAN signal is received for more than 500 milliseconds after ignition is turned OFF and ON again
