Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Monitor the brake pedal stroke sensor signal
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open or short of Brake Pedal Module circuit
  3. Faulty Brake Pedal Module (Travel Sensor)
Threshold Value  
  • A failure is detected when brake pedal travel sensor signal (PDT or PDF) is out of the range for more than 300 milliseconds

    Voltage range (PDT: 0.2V ~ 4.8V/PDF: 0.1V ~ 2.4V)

MIL
  • RBS warning lamp is activated
Reset Condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON
