DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble Shooting Condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor the CAN message
  1. Poor connector connection
  2. Open in CAN communication line
  3. Other ECUs incorrectly occupy the CAN bus
  4. Faulty ECM
Threshold value
  • In case that EMS message was not received for more than specific time.
    • * specific time: 500 milliseconds (while controlling) 1500 milliseconds (while not controlling)
Diagnosis time
  • While controlling: 500 milliseconds,
  • While not controlling: 1500 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC)/EPB warning lamps are activated. EBD/ABS warning lamp are not activated.
Reset condition
  • ESC: When the normal signal is sent after ignition switch turned OFF and back ON.
  • EPB: When CAN signal is normally recovered in the same Ignition cycle.
