| Threshold value |
- A failure is detected when the difference between estimated angle and measured angle of the SAS sensor is larger than 10+a deg. during vehicle stable driving.
- In case of straight and stable driving over 30 km/h (18.7 MPH), monitoring a fault if the absolute value of SAS is greater than 25 degree for more than 2 seconds.
- In case of over 60 km/h (37.3 MPH) driving, monitoring a fault if conditions between estimated SAS values and measured SAS sensor value are not proper to driving status.
- In case of there is no change in the SAS value when the vehicle is turning left or right (Yaw rate ± 5 deg./s or more).

- ESP (ESC) warning lamp is activated. EBD/ABS/EPB warning lamps are not activated.

| Reset condition |
- When the followings are normal, on a driving above 12 km/h (7.45 MPH).
- In case of straight driving, SAS signal is within 25 degree.
- SAS signal on right/left turn is larger than 30 degree.
- When SAS is greater than ±12 deg., monitoring a fault if the estimated SAS value is in between lower limit 50% and upper limit 150%.
