Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
- Remove the rear bumper cover.
(Refer to Rear Bumper - "REAR BUMPER COVER ")
- Separate the rear bumper wiring harness (A) mounting clips.
- Loosen the mounting clips, press the lock pin (A) and remove the rear bumper beam assembly (B).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure the connector is connected in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
