Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
- Using a remover and remove the crash pad side cover [RH] (A).
- Using a remover and remove the crash pad under cover (A).
- Remove the floor console assembly.

- Remove the cowl side trim.
(Refer to Interior Trim - "COWL SIDE TRIM ")
- Remove the glove box.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "GLOVE BOX ")
- Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD LOWER PANEL ")
- Remove the crash pad center garnish.
(Refer to Crash Pad - "CRASH PAD GARNISH ")
- Remove the heater & A/C control unit.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (MANUAL) ")
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning - "HEATER & A/C CONTROL UNIT (DATC) ")
- Loosen the mounting screws, nuts, bolts and remove the crash pad center panel (A).
- Press the lock pin and separate the glove box USB connector (A).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
