Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Take care not to scratch the body surface.
- Remove the tail gate upper trim.
(Refer to Tail Gate - "LIFTGATE TRIM ")
- Remove the anti-pinch strip.
(Refer to Body Electrical System - "ANTI-PINCH STRIP ")
- Disconnect the washer nozzle (A) and high mounted stop lamp connector (B).
- Remove the rear spoiler cap (A).
- Loosen the rear spoiler mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:
5.9 ~ 6.4 N.m (0.6 ~ 0.65 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 4.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the rear spoiler (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Tightening torque:
5.9 ~ 6.4 N.m (0.6 ~ 0.65 kgf.m, 4.3 ~ 4.7 lb-ft)
Information
- Make sure the connector is connected properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
- Tighten the mounting nut in order of (1) ~ (7).
