Removal And Installation

  1. Drain the coolant.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

  2. Remove the cooling fan.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLING FAN ")

  3. Remove the radiator upper hose (A).

    NOTE:
    • When installing radiator hoses, install as shown in illustrations.

  4. Remove the radiator lower hose quick connector (A).

    NOTE:
    • When installing radiator hoses, install as shown in illustrations.

  5. Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses.

    (Refer to Automatic Transaxle Cooling System - "OIL COOLER ")

  6. Remove the front bumper cover.

    (Refer to Body - "FRONT BUMPER COVER ")

  7. Remove the radiator upper mounting brackets (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  8. Remove the active air flap (AAF).

    (Refer to Cooling System - "ACTIVE AIR FLAP (AAF) ")

  9. Separate the A/C condenser from the radiator assembly.
  10. Remove the radiator assembly (A) from the vehicle.

  11. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  12. Fill the radiator with coolant and check for leaks.

    (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")

    NOTE:
    • Bleed air from the cooling system.
    • (Refer to Cooling System - "COOLANT ")
