DTC C2227-98: Excessive Temperature Of Brake Disc: General Description

The Hydraulic Electronic Control Unit (HECU) calculates the disc temperature by looking at the wheel speed, vehicle speed change, control mode and brake lamp signal. The calculated disc temperature is used to protect disc from overheating caused by over use which may cause a decrease in brake efficiency.
