DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Monitor CAN message from MDPS
  • Poor connector connection
  • Short or open in CAN line
  • Faulty MDPS
Enable Condition
  • Normal battery voltage (9 to 16V)
Threshold Value
  • When MDPS control message is not received for more than specific time
Detecting time
  • During driving or controlling: 0.5s
  • During non-controlling: 1.5s
Warning Lamp
  • None
Disable Condition
  • When the normal state is confirmed after the ignition switch turns off and then on
