Inspection Procedure

■ Visual inspection

Check the coolant level.

■ Thermostat check

After immersing the thermostat in water, heat the water slowly.
Check the temperature at which the valve opens.
Specification: Valve open temperature: 90 ± 1.5°C (194 ±34.7°F)

Valve opening temperature: 100°C (212°F)
Check the amount of valve opening.

Specification: 8 mm or more (100°C/212°F)

Good

Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
If no problems were found, replace the Thermostat and go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.

No Good

Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "VERIFICATION OF REPAIR " procedure.
