Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  2. Remove the canister assembly.

    (Refer to Evaporative Emission Control System - "CANISTER ")

  3. Remove the canister protector (A) after loosening bolt & clips.

  4. Remove the canister cover (A) after loosening bolt & clips.

  5. Disconnect the Clip (A, C) and canister close valve connector (B).

  6. Separate the fuel tank air filter & canister close valve (A) from the canister after rotating it in the direction of the arrow in the figure.

  7. Release the lever (A), and then separate the canister close valve (B) from the fuel tank air filter after rotating it in the direction of the arrow in the figure.
