Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION: Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • Take care not to scratch the body surface.
  1. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the tailgate upper trim (A).

  2. Separate the rear stop lamp connector (B) and rear washer nozzle (A).

  3. Remove the cap and then loosen the rear spoiler mounting nuts.

    Tightening torque: 

    5.9 - 6.4 N.m (0.6 - 0.65 kgf-m, 4.3 - 4.7 lb.ft, 52.1 - 56.4 lb.in)

  4. Remove the rear spoiler (A).

  5. To install, reinstall in reverse order of removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the connector is connected properly.
    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
