Squib Circuit Inspection

NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a 2Ω resistor.
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait for 5 minutes or more.
  3. Remove the PAPT and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to the PAPT connector.
  4. Connect the battery (-) cable and ignition "ON" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)" and clear DTC with KDS and diagnose again.
  6. Are any DTCs stored in the system?

Good 

No Good

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least five minutes.
  3. Disconnect PAPT connector and SRSCM main harness connector.

PAPT connector 2 (low) SRSCM connector 17 (low) Approx. below 1Ω
PAPT connector 1 (high) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
PAPT connector 2 (low) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
  1. Connect the SRSCM main harness connector.
  2. Connect the battery (-) terminal cable to the battery.
  3. Ignition "ON".
