Squib Circuit Inspection

NOTE: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a 2Ω resistor.
  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) cable and wait for 5 minutes or more.
  3. Remove the DAPT and connect the dummy and dummy adapter to the DAPT connector.
  4. Connect the battery (-) cable and ignition "ON" and wait for 30 seconds or more.
  5. Connect KDS to "Data Link Connector (DLC)" and clear DTC with KDS and diagnose again.
  6. Are any DTCs stored in the system?

Good 

No Good

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least five minutes.
  3. Disconnect DAPT connector and SRSCM main harness connector.

DAPT connector 2 (low) SRSCM connector 4 (low) Approx. below 1Ω
DAPT connector 1 (high) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
DAPT connector 2 (low) Chassis ground - ∞ (infinity)Ω
  1. Connect the SRSCM main harness connector.
  2. Connect the battery (-) terminal cable to the battery.
  3. Ignition "ON".
