DTC P0071-00: Ambient Air Temperature Circuit Range/Performance: General Description

The ambient temperature sensor is located at the front of the condenser and detects ambient air temperature. It is a negative type thermistor; resistance will increase with lower temperature, and decrease with higher temperature. ECM receives the intake air temperature and ambient air temperature at the same time to precisely control the intake air quantity supplied through the manifold.
