Detecting Condition |
Possible Cause |
| DTC Strategy |
Case1 |
- Deviation check between actual CAM position and CAM set point position in case of changing set point (slow response of actuator)
|
- Oil leak
- Oil Control Valve
- CVVT Assembly
|
| Case2 |
- Deviation check between actual CAM position and CAM set point position (steady deviation)
|
| Enable Conditions |
Case1 |
- Time after engine start is higher than 1.5 to 2.0s
- CVVT control active
- Camshaft set point moving by more than 11.25° within less than 0.8s
- Camshaft set point moved more than 0 times since engine start
- Battery voltage is higher than 11V and lower than 16V
- Engine speed is higher than 576 to 1504RPM and lower than 4992RPM
- No relevant failure
- Engine oil temperature is higher than 20°C (68°F) and lower than 120°C (248°F)
|
| Case2 |
- Time after engine start is higher than 1.5 to 2.0s
- CVVT control active
- Camshaft set point moved more than 0 times since engine start
- Deviation between CAM set point position and actual CAM position is higher than 5.25°
- Camshaft set point not close to full retard position
- Battery voltage is higher than 11V and lower than 16V
- Engine speed is higher than 576 to 1504RPM and lower than 4992RPM
- No relevant failure
- Engine oil temperature is higher than 20°C (68°F) and lower than 120°C (248°F)
|
| Threshold Value |
Case1 |
- CAM position movement is lower than 3.4° within 0.8s (with CAM set point moving by 12°)
|
| Case2 |
- Integral of Camshaft position actual value - Camshaft position set point is higher than 45°/s
