DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Deviation check between actual CAM position and CAM set point position in case of changing set point (slow response of actuator)
  • Poor connector connection
  • Contamination of Oil/Clogged Oil Line
  • Faulty Oil Control Valve
  • Faulty Cam Phaser
  • Faulty Exhaust CVVT Assembly
Enable Conditions
  • Camshaft Set-point movement more than 12° within in less than 1s
  • Camshaft set-point moved more than 3 times since engine start
  • Engine speed at between 450RPM and 5000RPM
  • Engine oil temperature at between 20°C (68°F) and 120°C (248°F)
  • Battery voltage at between 11V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • CAM position movement less than 4° within 1s
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately

  • 2 driving cycles
