Brake Pad Check

  1. Check the pad wear. Measure the pad thickness and replace it, if it is less than the specified value.

    Front disc brake pad thickness 

    • Standard (15 inch disc): 11.0 mm (0.4331 in.)
    • Standard (16 inch disc): 11.5 mm (0.4527 in.)
    • Service Limit: 2.0 mm (0.0787 in)

    Rear 

    • Standard (With EPB): 10.0 mm (0.3937 in.)
    • Standard (Without EPB): 9.0 mm (0.3543 in.)
    • Service Limit: 2.0 mm (0.0787 in)

  2. Check that grease is applied to sliding contact points and check the pad and backing metal for damage.
