Check Open In CAN Communication Line

  1. IG KEY OFF.
  2. Disconnect BCM (TPMS Module integrated) connector and ABS/ESC (ESP) connector.
  3. Measure the resistance between C-CAN-HIGH terminal of BCM (TPMS Module integrated) harness connector and C-CAN-HIGH terminal of PCM harness connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between C-CAN-LOW terminal of BCM (TPMS Module integrated) harness connector and C-CAN-LOW terminal of PCM harness connector.

    Check short to ground in CAN communication line (Ω) infinity Ω
    1. Ignition switch: OFF
    2. Connect all related module connectors.
    BCM's (TPMS Module integrated) CAN "HIGH" terminal chassis ground.
    BCM's (TPMS Module integrated) CAN "LOW" terminal
    Check Open in CAN communication line. (Ω) below 1 Ω
    1. Ignition switch: OFF
    2. BCM (TPMS Module integrated) connector: Disconnected
    3. ECM connector: Disconnected
    BCM"s (TPMS Module integrated) CAN "HIGH" terminal ECM's CAN-"HIGH" terminal
    BCM"s (TPMS Module integrated) CAN "LOW" terminal ECM's CAN-"LOW" terminal
  5. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Check ECM, BCM (TPMS Module integrated) connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
