The PODS-G (Passive Occupant Detection System) ECU sets B1496-54 when the PODS-G initialization was not carried out at a seat factory. It determines a fault and turns on a telltale lamp.
GDS-Vehicle S/W management cannot solve B1496-54 because it can calibrate seats only that has been initialized at a seat factory, newly replaced at a field, and completed a PODS-G inspection.
