Monitor DTC Status

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read the "DTC State" parameter.
  5. Is the DTC State "Present?"

    "PRESENT"

    • Diagnose the SCC system using the GDS and see if there is a DTC related to the SCC. If so, repair it first and then see if the DTC is cleared from the LKA Module. Then, go to next procedure.

    "HISTORY"

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor contact of connector or wire harness. Or, the control module's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
