Monitor DTC Status

  1. Connect the GDS and select "System" → "IGPM" → "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)".
  2. Click the "DTC Status" to check the DTC information.
  3. Read the "DTC Status" parameter, and Record all DTCs, DTC state and Freeze Frame Data.
  4. Is the same DTC set again?

    YES 

    • Perform "Actuation Test" → "Ext Tail Lamp Output".

      → If it is normal, check for the intermittent Short-to-Ground in External Tail Lamp Front Left* circuit caused by corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

      → If it is abnormal, go to "WIRING INSPECTION " procedure.

    NO 

    • This can be SJB* memory was not cleared after repair.

      → Erase the DTCs, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    • This can be an intermittent fault caused by Poor Contact in External Tail Lamp Front Left*'s and/or SJB's connector.

      → Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

      → Repair or replace the harness/connector as necessary, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NOTE: SJB*: "IGPM_IPS CONTROL MODULE"
    [With DRL] External Tail Lamp Front Left*: "DRL LAMP LH_PARKING"
    [Without DRL] External Tail Lamp Front Left*: "HEAD LAMP LH_PARKING"
