Monitor DTC Status

  1. Connect the GDS and select "System" → "IGPM" → "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)".
  2. Click the "DTC Status" to check the DTC information.
  3. Read the "DTC Status" parameter, and Record all DTCs, DTC state and Freeze Frame Data.
  4. Is the same DTC set again?

    YES 

    • Perform "Actuation Test" → "Dedicated DRL Output".

      → If it is normal, check for the intermittent Short-to-Ground in DRL RH* circuit caused by corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

      → If it is abnormal, go to "WIRING INSPECTION " procedure.

    NO 

    • This can be SJB* memory was not cleared after repair.

      → Erase the DTCs, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    • This can be an intermittent fault caused by Poor Contact in DRL RH*'s and/or SJB's connector.

      → Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

      → Repair or replace the harness/connector as necessary, and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NOTE: SJB*: "IGPM_IPS CONTROL MODULE"
    DRL*: Daytime Running Lights
    DRL RH*: "DRL RH_DRL"
