  • Monitor communication on the CAN (CAN message transfer)
  1. Open or short in CAN line
  2. Poor connection or harness damage
  3. Faulty PCM
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine is running with speed over 32 RPM.
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V.
  • Elapsed time after turning ON ignition switch is over 0.5 seconds.
Threshold Value
  • PCM receives wrong messages for longer than 2.5 seconds.
Diagnostic Time
  • 2.5 Seconds
MIL-On Condition
  • 3rd Driving Cycle
