DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Item  Detecting Condition  Possible Cause 
DTC Strategy * Air/Fuel ratio cylinder imbalance monitoring
  1. Poor connection or harness damage
  2. Air leak on Cylinder #3
  3. Faulty Injector #3
Enable Condition •Engine coolant temperature is higher than 132.8°F (56°C)
•Modeled catalyst temperature is lower than 1652°F (900°C)
•Engine speed at between 1152 RPM and 2816 RPM
•Fuel mass set-point at between 11.5mg/stroke and 30.5mg/stroke
•Vehicle speed is higher than 15.6mph
•Fuel trim active
  • No relevant failure (Upstream, O2 sensor, Injector valve, ETC in limp home state)
  • Measured Tip temperature is higher that 1184°F (640°C)
  • Engine coolant temperature is higher than 32°F (0°C)

•Lambda set-point at between 0.97 and 1.03


•Stable driving condition
  • Difference between the engine speed and the filtered engine speed is lower that 100 RPM
  • Difference between the mass air and the filtered mass air is lower than 80mg/stroke
  • Difference between the lambda and the filtered lambda is lower that 5%

•Fuel cut off not active
•Catalyst purge after fuel cut off not active
•No misfire detected
•Catalyst diagnosis finished
•Barometric pressure (BARO) is higher than 75kPa
•Full load not active
•Crankshaft segment adaptation finished
•No gear transition
Threshold Value •Short term fuel trim deviation is higher than 15% or lower than -18
Diagnostic Time •Within 3 A/F adaptation cycles
MIL-On Condition •2 driving cycles
