- Engine speed is higher than 600 RPM.
- Mass air flow is less than 83 g/sec.
- Exhaust gas temperature (model) is between 300° (572 °F) and 800° (1, 472 °F).

| Prerequisite Condition |
- No fuel cut-off is activated.
- No full load is activated with 90% of accelerator pedal value.
- No catalyst overheating protection is activated.
- Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V.

- Active test symptom during lambda set point shift to rich (after detecting DTC P209700)
- Lambda value is higher than 0.9 when lambda set point is 0.8.
