DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

  • O2 Sensor controller malfunction check
  1. Poor connection or harness damage
  2. Unstable Power
  3. Faulty PCM
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON".
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Error bit information from hardware circuit
    • Communication fault and ASIC data checksum error
Diagnosis Time
  • 5 Seconds
Case 2 Main Action
  • Knock acquisition check
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine speed is higher than 32 RPM.
Threshold value
  • Diagnose internal ECM
    • Integrity of the knock acquisition is not correct
Diagnosis Time
  • 200 Revolutions
Case 3 Main Action
  • Monitors power stage Port Flap Driver temperature
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine is running with speed over 32 RPM.
  • Battery voltage is between 10V and 16V.
Threshold Value
  • Diagnose ECM power stage
    • Power stage of output for Port Flap has Over-Temperature
Diagnosis Time
  • 0.4 Seconds
Case 4 Main Action
  • Communication validity check
  • H-bridge (for ETC, Port Flap) malfunction
  • Output driver malfunction
  • Power relay driver malfunction
  • 5V power supply driver malfunction
Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition switch is turned "ON".

  • Micro-controller communication error detected
