  • Check fuel tank pressure during evacuation
  1. Fuel Filler Cap missing
  2. Leakage in each hose/fuel filler pipe
  3. Leakage in CCV/Canister/Fuel tank
  4. Stuck in each purge hose/pipe between fuel tank and intake manifold
Prerequisite Condition
  • Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) is higher than 50° (122°F).
  • Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Model is higher than -10° (14°F).
  • Vehicle speed is slower than 7.5 mile/h (12km/h).
  • Fuel level is between 15% and 85% of capacity.
  • Elapsed time after engine start is longer than 100 seconds.
  • Barometric pressure (BARO) is greater than 75 kPa.
  • Canister load is lower than 0.35.
  • Engine speed is lower than 1, 400 ~ 2, 500 RPM.
  • Accelerator pedal value is less than 0.01 %.
  • Differential fuel tank pressure is between -1, 100 Pa and 400 Pa.
  • Barometric pressure model gradient is less than 7.5 kPa during uphill driving within 15 minutes.
  • Battery voltage is higher than 10V.

  • Time to generate pressure inside fuel tank to -1, 500 Pa is longer than 20 seconds.
Case 2
  • Time to decrease the pressure inside fuel tank from -300 Pa to -700 Pa is longer than 10 seconds.
