DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Main Action
  • Voltage range check
  1. Open in power supply harness or signal harness
  2. Shorted to ground in power supply or signal harness
  3. Poor connection or harness damage
  4. Faulty TPS 1
Case 1 Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition key is turned "ON"
Threshold Value
  • TPS 2 voltage is lower than 0.1V.
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground.
Case 2 Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition key is turned "ON"
  • Engine status is at idle
  • Targeted throttle angle set point is lower than 58%.
  • TPS 1 failure is detected.
Threshold Value
  • TPS 2 voltage at idle is lower than 2V.
  • Sensor signal circuit is open or shorted to ground.
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuously
MIL-On Condition
  • 2nd Driving Cycle
