Thermostat Heater Check

  1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF". Disconnect thermostat heater connector.
  2. Measure the resistance between power and ground terminal of thermostat heater (component side).

    Specification:  8 ± 1.6 Ω (at 20°/68°F)

  3. Is the measured resistance within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Check for poor connection between PCM and component: backed out terminal, improper mating, broken locks or poor terminal to wire connection. Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
