Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Voltage range check
  1. Faulty cooling system
  2. Faulty ECT sensor
  3. Poor connection or harness damage
Prerequisite Condition
  • Coolant temperature during engine start is lower than 0° (32°F)
  • Time elapsed after engine start (depending on the ECT)

    0° (32°F): 50 seconds.

    8° (46.4°F): 100 seconds.

    20° (68°F): 200 seconds.

    35° (95°F): 300 seconds.

  • Battery voltage is between 11V and 16V

  • Coolant temperature signal shows under 0° (32°F).
