Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
Main Action
  • Voltage range check
  1. Open in ground circuit
  2. Open or shorted to battery in signal circuit
  3. Poor connection or harness damage
  4. Faulty TPS 2
Case 1 Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition key is turned "ON"
Threshold Value
  • TPS 1 voltage is higher than 4.9V.
  • Signal circuit is open or shorted to battery power supply.
Case 2 Prerequisite Condition
  • Ignition is turned "ON"
  • Target throttle angle is less than 58%.
  • TPS 2 failure is detected.
Threshold Value
  • TPS 1 voltage at idle is higher than 3.0V.
  • Signal circuit is open or shorted to battery power supply.
Diagnosis Time
  • Continuously
MIL On Condition
  • 2nd Driving Cycle
