DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Deviation check between actual CAM position and CAM set-point position in case of changing set-point (slow response of actuator)
  1. Poor Connector Connection
  2. Contamination of Oil / Clogged Oil Line
  3. Faulty Oil Control Valve
  4. Faulty Cam Phaser
  5. Faulty Exhaust CVVT Assembly
Enable Condition
  • Camshaft set-point movement more than 22° within less than 1.7s
  • Camshaft set-point moved more than 3 times since engine start
  • Engine speed at between 450 RPM and 5000 RPM
  • Engine oil temperature at between 68°F (20°C) and 248°F (120°C)
  • Battery voltage at between 10V and 16V
Threshold Value
  • CAM position movement less than 7° within 1.7s
Diagnostic Time
  • Immediately

  • 2 driving cycles
