Monitor GDS Data

  1. Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
  2. Start the engine and warm it up to the normal operation temperature.
  3. Check the parts related to an "VSS" on "Current Data" using the GDS. (ENG. Control)
  4. Check the parts related to an "WHEEL SPEED SENSOR" on "Current Data" using the GDS. (ABS Control or ESP Control)

  5. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

    NO 

    • In case that the vehicle speed value from ABS (ESP) module is different from vehicle speed at cluster: It is resulted from circuit problem not only between Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) and ABS Module but related component. Refer to ABS (ESP) DTC C1203 ~ C1205.

      If the vehicle speed value from Engine Control Module is different from vehicle speed at cluster: It is resulted from circuit problem between Engine Control Module and ABS Module. Go to "TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION "
