Component Inspection

  1. Check CKPS
    1. Turn the ignition switch "OFF".
    2. Select "vehicle scope meter" in the menu, and connect channel A of GDS with signal terminal of CKPS harness connector.
    3. Engine start. And check the signal waveforms.

      Specification: Refer to SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA 

    4. Is the measured signal waveforms of CKPS normal?

      YES 

      • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector. Or, ECM memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".

      NO 

      • Replace the CKPS with an usable one and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the CKPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
