Monitor GDS Data

- Connect GDS to DLC (Data Link Cable).
- Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.
- Monitor "FPS" parameter on the "Current Data" with GDS.
(Fig.1) Check the change under the condition of acceleration and deceleration.
(Fig.2) Check the 'Angle to Close FPR' and 'Angle to Open FPR' under idle state
Examine the fuel pressure checking the change of rail pressure and 'Angle to Close FPR' and 'Angle to Open FPR'.
- Is the "FPS" parameter displayed correctly?
YES
- Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector. Or, ECM memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, ending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
NO
- Repair relevant component(s) as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR ".
