Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor the CAN signal
  1. Poor contact of connector
  2. Open/short in CAN communication circuit
  3. Gateway (IGPM)
Prerequisite condition
  • Battery voltage is normal
  • 1.5 sec. after turning the ignition switch on
  • Engine is running
  • Turn on the BSD switch
  • CAN Bus-off DTC (C1616-88) is not detected
Threshold Value
  • AT vehicle (Automatic Transmission): Normal operation (no secondary alert)
  • MT vehicle (Manual Transmission): Inhibit an alert at the rear right and left sides
Diagnosis time
  • after 0.5 sec.
