Monitor DTC Status

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2021 Hyundai Kona. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)", and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read the "DTC State" parameter.
  5. Is the DTC State "Present"?

    "PRESENT"

    • Diagnose the cluster system using the GDS and see if there is a DTC related to the vehicle speed. If so, repair it first and then see if the DTC is cleared from the AHLS module. Then, go to next procedure.

    "HISTORY"

    • Fault can be intermittent. Or, the AHLS ECU's memory was not cleared after repair. Thoroughly check connectors and wire harness for looseness, poor contact, bending, corrosion, deterioration, or damage.
