CAN BUS Resistance Check

CAN Bus line: resistance PCM connected: 60 ± 3Ω PCM Disconnected: 120 ± 3Ω
  1. Ignition switch: OFF
DLC CAN High terminal DLC CAN High Low terminal
  1. Is the result within specifications?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • In case of the resistance "approx. 1Ω" in both measurement: Repair mutual short in C-CAN signal circuit of the ESP (ESC) and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
    • In case of the resistance "approx. 120Ω" in both measurement: Go to "COMPONENT INSPECTION " procedure.
    • In case of the resistance " Ω" in both measurement: There is open circuit between ESP (ESC) connector and other ECU's, go to "CAN BUS LINE OPEN/SHORT INSPECTION " procedure.
