Engine System Diagnosis

  1. Connect GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs)" mode.
  2. Turn "ON" the Ignition Switch.
  3. Using GDS, check if there is an error in Engine system.
  4. Are any DTCs present?

    YES 

    • This DTC appears when the CAN messages from PCM (ECM) is invalidate.
    • Repair the vehicle according to the engine system service guide.

    NO 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in power harness (Ignition +) and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after repair. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
