DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Trouble shooting Condition Possible Cause
Main action
  • Monitor CAN message
  1. Faulty ECM
  2. Open in CAN Communication line
  3. Poor connection
  4. Other ECU's incorrectly occupy the CAN bus
  5. Faulty ESP (ESC)
Threshold value
  • In case that EMS message was not received for more than specific time.
  • When the CAN message from the EMS ECU contains a wrong message counter value.
  • When the CAN message from the EMS ECU contains an invalid checksum.

    * Test starts 1.8 seconds after ignition on.

Diagnosis time
  • 500 milliseconds
MIL
  • ESP (ESC)/DBC operation cancelled/inhibited.

    EBD/ABS operation allowed.

  • ESP (ESC)/DBC warning lamps ON
