GDS Data Analysis

  1. Connect GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the Ignition Switch.
  3. Hit the brake pedal.
  4. Monitor the "Brake Light Switch" parameter on the "Current Data" menu of the GDS.

    Specification:  Brake Light Switch go on and off.

  5. Are the parameters displayed correctly?

    YES 

    • Fault is intermittent, caused by poor connection in the sensor's and/or ESP (ESC)'s connector. Or, ESP (ESC) memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
